31-Protecting and Disclosing Confidences and Secrets

A client's settlement with an insurance company required the client to reimburse the company should the client receive additional amounts in later settlements. When the client settled with another insurance company, the client prohibited the lawyer from disclosing the settlement to the company. Because the client has "perpetrated a fraud" upon the insurance company, the lawyer was free to reveal the fraud.
