1-Adversity to Current Clients

76-Trust and Estate Lawyers

A lawyer may not represent a client in a will dispute when the lawyer's partner represents ("even in the smallest way") the adverse party in an unrelated matter. The Bar "does not believe that a firm or an individual attorney may ethically represent a given client at the same time that they are suing the same client, regardless of whether or not the matters in the separate litigation are the same or substantially related."
