4-Witness-Advocate Rule

A lawyer may not represent a client if the lawyer may be called as a witness on the client's behalf on a central issue, and none of the witness-advocate exceptions apply. A lawyer may not represent a client if the lawyer knows the lawyer will be called by a former client (the current client's adversary) to the possible detriment of the present client.
