35-Threatening Criminal and Disciplinary Action

A lawyer may not warn a debtor about the criminal sanctions that may be awarded under the Virginia Code, because mentioning the criminal sanctions would amount to a threat to bring criminal charges solely to gain an advantage in a civil matter.
