4-Witness-Advocate Rule

9-Government Lawyer Conflicts

51-Government Attorneys

A Commonwealth's Attorney and an assistant are barred from testifying in an action in which the office is involved, because the Commonwealth's Attorney's office is subject to the same restrictions applicable to a private law firm. (9/3/82) [This LEO was presumably overruled by Rule 3.7(c), under which this disqualification is not imputed to the lawyer's firm unless there is an actual conflict of interest.]
